Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Interiors, 3D Design and Prop Making
Do you have a keen eye for detail and an interest in the Interiors or 3D design industry? Then this course is for you. On this course you will study a range of different industry standard techniques and apply them to final outcomes.
Over the 2 years you will explore:
3D design and application working with industry graded materials
Interior design and architecture
Scaled floor plans (Hand rendered and digital)
Scale Model making (Set design or architecture)
Textiles within interior design.
Prop making for film
Prop making for stage
Entry Requirements
You will need four GCSEs at Grade 4 and above. It is preferred, but not essential, to have Maths at a Grade 4 due to heavy use of mathematical application to scale work. This includes a Grade 4 in a creative subject such as Photography, Media, Textiles, Art and Design, Science or Engineering.
Frequently Asked Questions
Over the two years, you will learn the basics of visual recording and communication, how to embark and execute a creative process and become confident working with a range of different materials and techniques. As you progress through your second year, you will learn how to respond to client briefs and have the opportunity to specialise in a specific discipline with work that culminates in an end of year exhibition.
